St Cloud s Pioneer Place reopens to live music after COVID-19 closure

Pioneer Place on Fifth has a full lineup of in-person live music through mid-June. The venue, which was closed amid the COVID-19 pandemic, reopened in April and has been treating audiences to live music every weekend. “It’s a wonderful feeling to be able to provide a space where the musicians and audiences can meet and really enjoy themselves,” said Ray Herrington, owner of Pioneer Place. Ticket sales have been strong, he said. And, the set-up inside Pioneer Place allows for a different experience with the musicians. “You’re really interacting with the audience because you’re so close,” Herrington said. “The musicians appreciate it and take advantage of it and create some wonderfully intimate performances.”
