Three Injured in ATV accident in Pettis County
Three people were injured Sunday afternoon in an accident involving a go-kart and an ATV in Pettis County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 2003 Yamaha Bear Tracker was westbound on Springfork Road, east of Rod & Gun Club Road at 3:17 p.m. Sunday, following a westbound 2020 Coleman go-kart, when the go-kart became disabled in the roadway. The Bear Tracker rear-ended the go-kart and overturned, ejecting the driver, 65-year-old Gary E. Brandes of Sedalia, and his six-year-old male passenger.
Brandes suffered serious injuries and was flown by Life Flight to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.
