Chennai, June 3 : Students, teachers, parents and academicians in Tamil Nadu have requested the M.K. Stalin government to cancel the Class 12 board examinations taking a cue from the central government s decision cancelling both the CBSE and ICSE exams.
Muruganandam, a Physics teacher at a government school at Namakkal told IANS: Children are under severe stress and anxiety and the government must take immediate steps to cancel the Class 12 board examinations. We can take the assessment of the past six or seven examinations and take the average. It is not possible at present to conduct an exam and postponing would lead to the suffering of next academic year and hence the solution is cancelling of examinations.
SRINAGAR: The Directorate of School Education (DSE) has stated that out of 17236 RReTs (Regularized Rehbar-e-Taleem Teachers) and ReTs, 16606 have already been transited to Teacher Grade II and III till now.

All schools should have complaints committee, says Mahesh Poyyamozhi
Minister for School Education Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi said on Tuesday that his department was considering to constitute a committee to handle complaints of sexual abuse and harassment from students.
“It is important to receive such complaints and ensure that genuine complaints are acted upon. We need an accessible system in place that can work on the ground, similar to how the Chief Educational Officers (CEOs) are in touch with the schools in their jurisdiction,” he said.

JAMMU, May 15: Vast population of students in the rural areas of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory has remained deprived of online education as on one side they don’t have Android phones due to poor economic condition and on the other side the Government has failed to initiate steps for providing educational contents through alternate modes like television and radio.
Board exam schedule to be out 15 days in advance

AAA The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) in Tamil Nadu has said that Class 12 students would be intimated about the fresh schedule for their public exams at least 15 days before they are to begin.
In a circular, the DGE has instructed all Chief Educational Officers and District Educational Officers to inform school heads in their jurisdiction about the postponement of the exams as announced by the State government on Sunday.
The students are currently taking their practical exams and are expected to complete them by the end of this week.
