GKIDS began streaming two clips on Wednesday for
Lupin III THE FIRST, the first 3D CG feature-length anime film in Monkey Punch s
Lupin III franchise. The first clip shows the film s opening sequence, while the second clip shows an English-dubbed car chase action scene.
GKIDS and Shout! Factory released the film digitally on Tuesday, and will release the film physically on Blu-ray Disc and DVD on January 12. The companies will also release a Steelbook edition, which includes a 16-page booklet with character concept art, on January 12.
GKIDS, TMS Entertainment, and Fathom Events screened the film in theaters in the United States on October 18 (English dub) and 21 (English subtitles). The Fathom Events screenings included a special introduction from director Takashi Yamazaki.
