Martin Compston has admitted he finds his Line Of Duty character DS Steve Arnott arrogant and said nobody can understand how he s had so many romances. The actor, 36, spoke to the Shrine Of Duty podcast on Wednesday ahead of the last episode this weekend, and amusingly said DS Arnott is the overdressed w r at work so he didn t get why he managed to attract so many women over the years. Reflecting on his character, and his love of waistcoats, Martin said: Steve does see himself as Sherlock Holmes, he sees himself as a super detective. It’s near-impossible to give a proper, thorough review of the first episode of Line of Duty series six. With secrecy around the BBC’s most popular continuing drama at an all-time high, the spoilers list – topics journalists are urged not to mention – essentially amounts to the entirety of the plot.
