HAMPTON ROADS, Va. - One by one, people in Hampton Roads are getting their COVID-19 vaccine.
âThe whole process was really easy,â Uwe Laucht told News 3 Monday. â[Iâm] glad I got in, and now I just have to wait for the second shot.â
But now, the cybersecurity firm Kaspersky is releasing new information of COVID-19 shots being on the dark web.
âI hear five alarm bells ringing loud and clear for people to stay away,â North Carolina Attorney General Josh Stein said.
Stein told News 3 his office has heard of stolen vaccines ending up on the black market through the dark web.

MARYVILLE The Troy/Maryville/St. Jacob/Marine Chamber of Commerce on March 4 delivered 1,100 “Healthcare Kindness Day” bags to Anderson Hospital.
“Our healthcare workers were working hard every single day but, in March of 2020, they were asked to not only work harder but put themselves at risk of COVID,” said Chamber Executive Director Dawn Mushill. “Every one of them has had a very trying 10 months and they are still dealing with so much. So we created a holiday for them.”
Mushill said the idea came from a Chamber board meeting. The bags have been in progress for a couple of months. Each bag contained gift certificates, treats, a kindness jar (with over a dozen kindness sayings that they can take “as needed”), a handwritten thank you note, a scratch off ticket for a free item at a local restaurant and a flyer telling the story of Healthcare Kindness Day.
