State police say four men have been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the early April shooting that left a Cambridge man dead.
Just before 10 a.m. on April 5, officers from the Cambridge Police Department responded to a reported shooting in the area of Greenwood Avenue and Gloria Richardson Circle, according to a Maryland State Police news release.
They arrived to find the victim, 22-year-old Da Jour Sorrell, lying on the ground. He d suffered gunshot wounds and was taken to Dorchester General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Maryland State Police Homicide Unit was asked to take over the investigation. Members of the Criminal Enforcement Division and crime scene technicians from the State Police Forensic Sciences Division also responded to the scene to aid investigators. ....

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - The Summerville Police Department has arrested and charged a woman with domestic violence after allegedly shooting her boyfriend with a BB gun Tuesday.
Melanie Folmar has been charged with domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime in the incident.
Police responded to a home on the 400 block of Boone Hill Road in regards to a report of a shooting in the area. When they arrived, officers located a victim lying in the driveway along with a man identifying himself to be a paramedic. ....

A man was arrested Wednesday after police said he stabbed a woman multiple times at a South Carolina Waffle House.The Dorchester County Sheriff s Office arrested Marcus Tyrone Myles, 20, of Summerville, for attempted murder.Deputies said they first received a call around 4 a.m. about a stabbing at the Waffle House in the 900 Block of Orangeburg Road in Knightsville. Dorchester County EMS, with assistance from Summerville Police and Fire, were dispatched to the scene as well.When units arrived, deputies found a female victim suffering from multiple stab wounds and transported her to Trident Medical Center.DCSO Lt. Rick Carson said deputies also located the suspect nearby still holding knives in both hands.Myles was given multiple commands ....

Hurlock man arrested in connection to Christmas Day shooting

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – A Hurlock man has been arrested in connection to a Christmas Day shooting incident that left one injured.
We’re told the incident took place in the 600 block of Pine Street, and investigation revealed that it began when the suspect became involved in an altercation with another male. The suspect, 42-year-old Charles Bibbs III, allegedly shot the victim in the torso during the altercation.
The victim was flown to Shock Trauma where he is still recovering from his injuries.
Bibbs has been charged with attempted first degree murder, first and second degree assault, handgun, and other related charges. He is currently being held without bond in the Dorchester County Detention Center. ....
