Alastair Clarkson has been many things across 376 games and 16 seasons, but he has never been boring.
Not while he was punching MCG coaches box walls.
Or running half-naked around Manuka Oval before the snow fell.
Or threatening all manner of deeds as he advised Matthew Lloyd to retire past-match in 2009.
Or being saved from a VFL coaching stint by Sam Mitchell s tackle on Shane Tuck.

Hawks forward Patton announces retirement

Hawks forward Patton announces retirement
By
Jonathon Patton has announced his retirement from football.
The Hawthorn forward has opted to draw the curtain on his career after 95 games with both GWS and the Hawks.
“I have made the difficult decision to retire from football to focus on my health, wellbeing, and future outside of the game,” Patton said via a club statement.
“The constant battle to overcome injuries since I entered the AFL 10 years ago has been relentless and, on many occasions, overwhelming.
“Whilst I have loved every minute of playing on the AFL stage, my enjoyment of the game has ultimately diminished. As such, I will not play football at any level this year.” ....

With supermarkets heaving with foil-wrapped bunnies and packet upon packet of delectable mini eggs, it can take every inch of willpower to stop yourself from leaving with an overflowing trolley.
Yet we’ve had it engrained in us that chocolate isn’t exactly at the top of the list of health foods, and that we should try to curb our cravings. So it’s a breath of fresh air to hear Dr Tal Friedman, head naturopath at Thailand’s Chiva-Som International Health Resort, rave about its perks. He says chocolate delivers some astounding health benefits and can be a regular part of a healthy diet. ....
