(WMBF) – The Dillon County coroner released the name of a man found dead inside a car. Coroner Donnie Grimsley identified the victim as 31-year-old Christopher Jones from Columbia. His body was sent to be autopsied on Sunday morning. Jones’ body was found early Sunday morning inside a vehicle on Alton Court in the Fork community, according to the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office. The death is being treated as a homicide, but it’s not clear how he died.

(WMBF) - A 59-year-old man was killed after his car hit a tree in Dillon County, according to the coroner. Coroner Donnie Grimsley identified the victim Tuesday night as James Trimble from Florida. Master Trooper Brian Lee with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the single-vehicle crash happened Sunday morning on Interstate 95 near mile marker 179. Trimble was driving north on the interstate when it ran off the right side of the roadway and hit a tree, according to Lee.

Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley identified the victim as Robert Austin Woodle of Latta. According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 4 p.m. on Mount Calvary Road. The four-door car was traveling east when it ran off the roadway and struck a tree, troopers said.
