NEW food hygiene ratings for eateries across the Bradford district have been published by the Food Standards Agency. Listed below are the latest findings of council inspectors for each branch of Costa in the Bradford district that has been inspected. Almost 4,000 premises across Bradford are rated by the Food Standards Agency, based on the findings of local authority inspectors, who work all year round. The hygiene standards found at the time of inspection are then rated on a scale. Five is top of the scale, meaning the hygiene standards are very good and fully comply with the law. Zero is at the bottom of the scale, meaning urgent improvement is necessary.

Hundreds of possible active travel measures suggested by Bradford residents

HUNDREDS of people have suggested new active travel measures for Bradford as part of a consultation that ends tomorrow. In June Bradford Council began an online survey asking the public to suggest schemes that would make it easier to walk and cycle in the District. It was part of a push to reduce pressure on public transport - which has been stretched for much of the year due to the need for social distancing. The Government had granted over £12m to West Yorkshire to implement such measures. In Bradford new cycle and bus lanes have been added to major routes, and Shay Lane in Heaton has been closed to traffic to create a car free route for cyclists and walkers.
