WEST ISLAND SOLIDARITY GARDENS ARE BACK: West Island Solidarity Gardens (WISG) are back this year following a successful first edition.West Island Community Shares, West Island Mission and Corbeille de pain collaborated to create the Solidarity Gardens initiative in the Spring of 2020 which provided fresh produce to other community organizations distributing in the West Island. This year, the initiative is joined with corporate partners and municipalities.The initiative rallies to support more than 750 West Island families facing food insecurity. Over the past year, the current COVID-19 pandemic has had a tremendous impact on the most vulnerable populations in the community. Food insecurity remains one of the main concerns for those who are isolated, sick or without work. JAY The reward for verifiable information leading to the location and discovery of Kimberly Moreau and her remains was raised Wednesday to $15,000.
Kimberly Moreau, who went missing in May 1986. Her father had offered a new $5,000 reward and a friend doubled it Monday to $10,000 for information leading to her remains. On Wednesday, an anonymous donor raised it to $15,000.

“We are thrilled…,” Kim’s oldest sister, Diane Levesque, wrote in a Facebook message on Wednesday night in regard to the increased reward. The family is hoping it will help find Kim and her remains.
Kim has been missing since late May 10, 1986, when she left her family home on Jewell Street in Jay and never returned. She was 17. She told an older sister, Karen Dalot and her now-husband, Bob, she was going for ride and would be back in an hour.

He wants to bring her home to give her a proper burial at Holy Cross Cemetery in Livermore Falls.
His daughter was last seen when she was 17 on May 10, 1986. She told an older sister and her sister’s now-husband she was going for a ride and would be back in an hour. She left her purse and car behind, but did not say if she would be with others. She never returned.
