Milwaukee s Cactus Club is hosting its first concert in 13 months Piet Levy, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel © Rick Wood / Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Kelsey Kaufmann is the new owner of longtime Milwaukee music scene fixture the Cactus Club, 2496 South Wentworth St. in Milwaukee. The Cactus Club was one of the first music venues in Milwaukee to close down as the COVID-19 pandemic loomed in March 2020. After 13 months, it s finally hosting a show for a live audience  but not inside its cozy space just yet. Local singer-songwriter Johanna Rose will perform a free, all-ages show April 30 in the backyard of the Bay View venue, at 2496 S. Wentworth Ave., followed by a screening of  Loon Lake, a docuseries about Rose s experience building and living in a treehouse in Vermont last year.
