CSU Alum Shaq Barrett Ready To Wreck The Super Bowl
A CSU alum is making some noise in the NFL playoffs this year and now has his team 1 win away from a Super Bowl win.
Shaq Barrett, who transferred to Colorado State after the University of Nebraska-Omaha eliminated its football program in 2011 played 3 years with CSU with his best season coming in his final year (2013) when he was named Mountain West Conference Defensive Player of the Year.
Shaq Barrett actually started his career just down the road in Denver when the Broncos signed his as an undrafted free agent in 2014. (Chalk that one up as one that got away for the Broncos) He was with the team unitl he signed a contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in March of 2019.

Chris Hope kept the defense on lock down throughout the season.
With Maddox at quarterback, the team was able to complete an 11-5-1 record in 2003, enough to give them the AFC North title, and to host the
Cleveland Browns in the Wild Card Round at Heinz Field. The Steelers swept the season series with the Browns in 2002, but their first game was won 16-13 in overtime, and their second victory by a 23-20 margin. Needless to say, no one thought this game would be a walk in the park, and it wasn’t.
It was the Browns who came out of the gate and dominated the game. Behind Kelly Holcomb’s ridiculous day, throwing for 429 yards and 3 touchdowns, the Browns were leading 24-7 in the 3rd quarter after Holcomb hit
Here are our grades from the Nittany Lions’ season-ending victory:
Quarterbacks: A-
The quarterbacks played arguably their best overall game of the season in the win over Illinois. Sean Clifford completed 73% of his passes and totaled 285 yards and two touchdowns through the air. It was the highest completion percentage he had all season and just the third time this year he didn’t throw an interception.
He fumbled early in the game but made up for it with timely throws and turnover-free football the rest of the way.
Will Levis also contributed to the blowout win with significant plays of his own. Levis completed three passes for 42 yards and a touchdown and ran for a touchdown as well. The gritty quarterback ran the ball nine times for 38 yards, including a Saquon-esque hurdle late in the game.
Polamalu: The Inspirational Story of Pittsburgh Steelers Strong Safety Troy Polamalu by Jim Wexell Troy Polamalu is arguably the best strong safety ever to play football. His honors, including being selected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2020, are numerous. Polamalu’s flair for the game, his anticipation, and his ability to diagnose plays was unrivaled during his 12-year career. But very few people, save for select teammates and family, really know the former Steeler. The key to Polamalu’s personality might be connected to a book
, The Mountain of Silence by Kryiacos C. Markides, and one of its chapters, “Woe to the Monk Who Becomes Famous.”
