In a recent letter to the editor, Serge Abergel, director of communications of Hydro Quebec, wrote a letter of rebuttal to Jonathan Carter’s letter which explained in depth how the Megadams of HQ are starving the gulf of Maine of nutrients.
Mr. Carter stated facts are the truth, according to a documentary on ME PBS WORLD 1276, THE AGE OF NATURE, “UNDERSTANDING” proved that the demolition of a west coast mega dam restored the nutrient starved orca whale population.
Mr. Abergel shamed Mr. Carter for omitting certain facts, but Mr. Abergel conveniently omitted an important fact himself. The lands needed to create mega dams have been occupied by indigenous people for thousands of years. HQ, owned by the Canadian government, wanted their land for hydro power so they simply took it from them.

Two of the three candidates who contested last year s election for the post of Debian project leader are set to fight it out again this year.
last year and is running for re-election, while Sruthi Chandran has opted to take another tilt at becoming the project s first female leader.
Voting began on 4 April and will wind up on 17 April. The new term for the project leader will begin on 21 April.
In her
platform statement, Chandran said she was running because she was concerned about the skewed gender ratios within the free software community.

Thank you Mr. Abergel, Director of Communications, for Hydro-Quebec for insightful comments on my opinion piece “Tell the Truth About the Corridor”. Just for your edification, I was trained as a scientist, a forest biologist.
I so agree with you that opinions should be based on science. I have always prided my self on trying to get the facts straight – and when proven wrong to alter my outlook. Unfortunately, I find your piece bereft of truth. Remember when you point a finger, three are pointing back at you.
