Three Taken To Hospital After Serious House Fire In Cowes

Three people have been taken to hospital following a fire in Cowes this morning (Tuesday).
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service (HIWFRS) has confirmed that no one has been seriously hurt.
Three occupants of the building, one person in their 60s and two in their 20s, escaped the property without serious injuries.
All three have been taken to hospital as a precaution, after suffering smoke inhalation.
SDSU Extension is resuming its virtual “Drought Hour” educational program series today (May 10).
Drought Hour will be held May 10, 17 and 24 from 11am-noon CST.

May 8, 2021 LAKE GEORGE The Lake Champlain-Lake George Regional Planning Board has partnered with the Essex County Industrial Development Agency, Hamilton County IDA and Lewis County Economic Development to offer low-interest loans to businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Businesses are eligible for loans from $25,000 to $150,000 at an unprecedented 1.9% interest for up to seven years. There are no application or closing costs, and the first 12 months’ payments are interest-only. Eligible business must be located in Warren, Washington, Hamilton, Essex, Clinton, St. Lawrence, Lewis or Jefferson counties. Loans can be used for working capital, equipment purchase or facility upgrades related to the COVID-19 pandemic. All applicants must show how their business has been negatively affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
BOARDMAN A juvenile girl was arrested Monday on attempted murder charges after a weekend shooting.
She was arrested on three charges of attempted murder with gun specifications, and three counts of felonious assault with gun specifications.
Her name and age, as well as victims’ names, have not been released by Boardman Township police.
It is possible additional charges could be filed in the near future, said police Chief Todd Werth, in a news release.
A boy and girl, both 17, were taken to the hospital by friends after a shooting occurred at 188 Stadium Drive near Salinas Trail just after 12:30 a.m. Sunday, Werth said.
