While the pandemic has slowed down many people down, the retired educator and passionate outdoorsman found the time to write four books within 10 months.

His most recent novel, The Mountain Men: The Adventures of Jamie Strings and Billy Scrubbs, is an adventure novel for adults and teenagers alike, a coming-of-age story about two boys experiencing life in the great outdoors during the COVID-19 pandemic.
It was published in late February and is Douglas’ 10th novel since he started his newfound career as a storyteller and a novelist in 2018.
