With viewers’ votes finally in play, Sunday’s episode of
American Idol marked the end of the road for eight singers, leaving us with the Top 16 of Season 19.
Let’s start with the results. The following 16 singers are going through to the next round: Alanis Sophia, Alyssa Wray, Ava August, Beane, Caleb Kennedy, Casey Bishop, Cassandra Coleman, Chayce Beckham, Colin Jamieson, Deshawn Goncalves, Grace Kinstler, Graham DeFranco, Hunter Metts, Madison Watkins, Willie Spence and Wyatt Pike.

Hello my Idol-Addicts! Wow, we have already eliminated eight people from the competition and are already down to our Top 16! This is where things start to get really good.
And, as I predicted, two of the eight leaving us are proud papa Cecil Ray and our country-version of Katy Perry, Hannah Everhart. But rounding out those eliminated were our eye-patch gal, Andrea Valles, those who didn’t get much screen-time Alana and Anilee List, Liahona Olayan, our fighter Jason Warrior, and the one I was saddest to see go – Mary Jo Young.
American Idol’s celebrity All-Star Duets Monday, April 5th.
The vocalist and
Maroon 5 keyboardist will take part in the show’s All-Star Duets episode, where veteran artists perform with contestants from the top 24. They will each perform with two of the contestants vying for a spot in the top 16.

The 36-year-old pop star was blown away by Casey Bishop, 16, who rocked out on Paramore s Decode before belting Incubus Wish You Were Here with Brandon Boyd, 45.
The Estero, Florida, high schooler had fearsome pipes, and Katy wanted her to take her whole performance full throttle to show off the star she really was.
