The launch of Paramount Plus arrives with a strong emphasis on television, with the new service combining the archives of CBS, Nickelodeon, BET, MTV, Comedy Central, and Smithsonian Channel. But the service is also built on the foundation of Paramount Pictures, a Hollywood mainstay.
