Bradford man hurled racist abuse and spat at police A man has been jailed for five months for spitting in a police officer’s eye and hurling racist abuse at another during a violent early morning incident in a residential area of Bradford. Usman Hussain became angry and aggressive after calling the police himself at 4am on October 23, 2019, Bradford Crown Court heard this week. Officers went to an address in Clayton in response to a report of a domestic incident, prosecutor David Ward said. Hussain, 34, of Market Street, Thornton, Bradford, began swearing and shouting after he was handcuffed and arrested at the scene.

Andrew Duffy, 38, went out for drinks with a friend and then took his car, a silver Ford Mondeo. Duffy then joined the eastbound M62 from junction 28 (Tingley Interchange) and drove at speeds of between 100mph and 120mph. He was spotted on the motorway by police officers, who used their car’s lights and sirens to indicate for him to stop, which Duffy ignored.
Hospital porter jailed after crashing into parked BMW during police chase A hospital porter who crashed into a parked BMW while driving without insurance during a police chase has been jailed for six months. Richard Tokar was ordered to stop after officers on patrol spotted him on a hand-held phone while at the wheel of a Volkswagen Golf, Bradford Crown Court heard today. Tokar, 24, of Emerson Avenue, Chellow Grange, Bradford, was taking a call from his mother because his father was suffering a diabetic episode, his solicitor advocate John Bottomley said. Tokar pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, driving while uninsured and driving on Duckworth Lane, Bradford, while on the phone.
1/1 A BRADFORD drug dealer who turned his home into a heroin factory has been jailed for six and a half years. Afraz Sheikh is already serving a prison sentence of six years imposed at York Crown Court in November for drug trafficking offences. Today, the new jail term was imposed concurrently after he was caught red-handed with an industrial press, bulking agent, scales, dust masks and dealer bags at his then address in Galsworthy Avenue, Heaton. No drugs were found but Sheikh’s fingerprints were on the press and there were traces of heroin on the equipment. Sheikh, 31, of Nearcliffe Road, Heaton, was brought to Bradford Crown Court from prison after pleading guilty to being concerned in the production of heroin on March 5, 2019, and dangerous driving and possession of cannabis on July 24, 2019.
