Usman Hussain became angry and aggressive after calling the police himself at 4am on October 23, 2019, Bradford Crown Court heard this week. Officers went to an address in Clayton in response to a report of a domestic incident, prosecutor David Ward said. Hussain, 34, of Market Street, Thornton, Bradford, began swearing and shouting after he was handcuffed and arrested at the scene.

Duffy then joined the eastbound M62 from junction 28 (Tingley Interchange) and drove at speeds of between 100mph and 120mph. He was spotted on the motorway by police officers, who used their car’s lights and sirens to indicate for him to stop, which Duffy ignored.

Afraz Sheikh is already serving a prison sentence of six years imposed at York Crown Court in November for drug trafficking offences. Today, the new jail term was imposed concurrently after he was caught red-handed with an industrial press, bulking agent, scales, dust masks and dealer bags at his then address in Galsworthy Avenue, Heaton. No drugs were found but Sheikh’s fingerprints were on the press and there were traces of heroin on the equipment. Sheikh, 31, of Nearcliffe Road, Heaton, was brought to Bradford Crown Court from prison after pleading guilty to being concerned in the production of heroin on March 5, 2019, and dangerous driving and possession of cannabis on July 24, 2019.
