Davey Stewards hauls boxes of food waste from the Roanoke Co-op â produce that didnât sell, or scraps from the kitchen â from the bed of his pickup truck, heaving them onto a mound of dirt. Some might see it simply as garbage, but not Stewards. Heâs composting, turning the waste into living soil. And he wants to help others do it, too. Stewards, 35, is the founder of the Harvest Collective, a regenerative agriculture business collective. He has launched a variety of projects â a permaculture-based farm known as Outback Orchards worked by volunteers in exchange for produce, custom-built chicken coops â but the one that could have the broadest reach is an effort to launch a compost facility and collection service. ....

And gallery director Lauren Tucci says “Polyphonous 2021 – Mimetic Lives II” is a jewelry exhibit featuring the work of Satomi Kawai and Jillian Moore, which is a satellite exhibit of the world famous Munich Jewelry Week. The Atlantic Lottery Corporation launched a website specifically for New Brunswick last summer, with intentions of expanding to the other Atlantic provinces subject to sign-off from the respective governments. According to a spokesperson for the Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation, costs incurred to develop online casino-style games will be shared by the provinces that offer the service. Currently, it is estimated that Nova Scotia s cost will be $3.1 million, Jillian Moore said in an email. ....
