Earlier this week, a social media post went viral in our community and contained some misinformation and Greater Good Grocery wants to clear up any confusion regarding the store as a result of the post. The post claimed that all food items sold in the store were donated and that all proceeds of food sold is given solely to CHOW, the Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse. In reality, the food sold at Greater Good Grocery is not donated. The food sold in the grocery store is sourced and bought from wholesalers and a variety of food partners located all throughout New York State.
