Moreover, as it identifies these critical technologies particularly laser communications but others as well it should prioritize building a robust and resilient domestic American industry to support U.S. activity in a domain that is critical to the future of U.S. military capabilities and national and economic security.

Kolkata: Coal India (CIL) on Thursday signed a first of its kind power purchase agreement for sale of 100 MW solar power with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL). The tenure of the agreement period is for 25 years. In its maiden venture into solar power, the world’s largest coal producing company in March’21 had won a 100 MW solar power project in a reverse auction conducted by GUVNL.
“We feel upbeat that we could win in our first ever competitive bidding of solar auction. We will aggressively participate in more such auctions in future,” said a senior executive of CIL.

Coal India Ltd has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement for sale of 100 MW solar power to Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL).
In its maiden venture into solar power, CIL had, in March this year, won a 100-MW solar power project in reverse auction conducted by GUVNL.
EPC tender floated
The ₹442-crore project will be executedthrough a solar EPC contractor.
In a back-to-back arrangement, CIL has already issued a tender in advance for finalis the contractor. The project will be executed within one year from the date of placement of the work order.

Coal India Ltd (CIL) had allocated 27.30 MT of coal in the April-February period of FY 2019-20, according to government data. Fuel allocation by CIL under the scheme also increased to 4.41 MT in February, from over 3.31 MT in the corresponding month of 2019-20, it said.
