May 3, 2021 Two separate crashes in Ross County from Saturday sent a total of three people to the hospital, one in serious condition. The first of the two crashes took place shortly around 9:45 p.m. Saturday. According to Chillicothe Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Chase Rutherford, 34, of Chillicothe, had been traveling southeast on U.S. 50 when his 2010 Harley Davidson Sportster failed to negotiate a curve, causing the bike to slide off the right side of the roadway where it collided with a guardrail. Mr. Rutherford was not wearing a helmet during the crash and he is reported to have sustained serious injuries. He was flown to Grant Medical Center in serious condition.
