Jealous ex beat up man he found hiding under wife s bed, court heard

SENTENCED: Bolton Crown Court A JEALOUS ex tried to strangle his wife’s new boyfriend after he found them at home together, a court heard. Dale Dewitt “lost all self-control” when he discovered Simon McDermott hiding under the bed leading him to repeatedly punch and kick his love rival before stealing his mobile phone. At Bolton Crown Court, William Donnelly, prosecuting, said Dewitt, 32, visited his estranged wife at an address in Bolton to pick up the couple’s two children on November 24, 2019. Arriving early, Dewitt’s ex-wife, Carrie Higson was in bed with Simon McDermott, the court heard. And after seeing who was at the door she rushed back upstairs and told Mr McDermott to hide under the bed because she suspected there would be trouble.

Runway questions raised as Coast jets diverted to Brisbane

It was decommissioned as part of the installation of the new 2450m, $334m runway which was opened in June, 2020. An Airservices Australia spokeswoman said safety was the organisation s first priority and the flights were diverted due to limited visibility. McDermott Aviation managing director Simon McDermott said the chief pilot of his fixed-wing aircraft had reported clear conditions on the Coast and told him the diverted planes would ve been able to land on the old runway. The southern section of the former runway 18/36 was repurposed as a taxiway to serve the southern apron area as part of the council s (Sunshine Coast Council) Sunshine Coast Airport Expansion Project, including parking for a future Code E aircraft, Ms White said.
