Apex Power Group agreement pays the local share of the nearly $44M project

The Rolling Hills Board of Education approved accepting $21,486,605 from the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission during Thursday s meeting to fund a construction project that will consolidate the district to a single location south of Byesville.
The 51% local match ($22.4 million) for the $43.8 million project will be provided through an agreement reached several years ago with Apex Power Group, developers of the Guernsey Power Station. Between the financing from the state (OFCC) and the local agreement with the power plant, it basically doesn t cost the district anything, said Rolling Hills Board President Dennis Dettra.
