He directs a small history program within the school’s Social Science Department. His research interests include development of safeguards for responsibly unfettered social science, and persistence of conversation about whose interest social science serves. Some of these interests are in his book Rockefeller Philanthropy and Modern Social Science (Routledge, 2015), which stops short of the time period and issues explored here.
