(Contributed) Every year since 1983, Janet Ellison has made a gingerbread house or themed cookie house for the holidays, and this year s theme honored Alomere Health. “It’s been a fun tradition for her, and (she) gets help from her grandkids each year,” her daughter, Pam Ellison, said. Janet’s grandchildren helped until they grew up and moved out. Her youngest grandchild is now 21. A few of her previous cookie house creations have been inspired by local spectacles, such as Noonan’s Park, the Runestone Museum and now Alomere. ....

As Rock continued on his journey to musical greatness, he had the opportunity to play a few beats for Sean “Diddy” Combs and one of those beats wound up being the blueprint for The Notorious B.I.G. single “Juicy,” a bona fide Hip Hop classic. Produced by Diddy and Poke of the Trackmasters, the song uses a sample of Mtume’s 1983 track, “Juicy Fruit” and features an alternative chorus sung by Total and Diddy himself. ....
