MUNCIE, Ind. A Delaware County pilot severely injured in a 2019 plane crash has died, but a lawsuit over the crash continues.
Spencer Jackson, 72 who suffered a traumatic brain injury in the May 2019 crash at Anderson Municipal Airport died April 3 with his children, son Evan and daughter Sadie, at his side. He was the most hard-working, caring, loving father I could have wished for, Sadie Jackson Durbin said on Friday.
However, the nearly two years her father lived after the crash proved to be a living hell, both for the victim and his family, she said.

Evan Jackson, named his father s legal guardian in the wake of the crash, last July filed a lawsuit against Delaware County businessman Sam Pierce alleged in the suit to have purchased the plane around 2013 and SPC Leasing, a Muncie-based corporation listed as the plane s owner.
