Charter Communications Inc. announced Wednesday, May 12, that it is participating in the program as part of the company’s ongoing commitment to help close the digital divide. Millions of households across Charter’s 41-state operating area are eligible for a credit up to $50 per month, up to $75 for households on tribal lands, toward qualifying Spectrum internet plans for the duration of the program. ....

The 36 grants awarded by Governor Ivey to multiple broadband providers across the state is the largest amount and number awarded to date from the Alabama Broadband Accessibility Fund.
