Believe it or not, despite their differences, this race was relatively close, at least for a little while. Once both drivers reached higher gears, the Hellcat’s superior pulling power came into play, and the rest is history. Anyway, here’s what you need to know about how these cars match up with one another.
This Dodge Challenger Hellcat is a widebody variant, which means it comes with flared fenders, different wheels, three-mode Bilstein adaptive damping suspension, six-piston calipers with 15.4 inch vented and slotted rotors at the front, plus stiffened anti-roll bars. To be fair, those mods aren t going to do much in terms of power delivery, and it’s not like the Challenger wasn’t already a very heavy car to begin with, at roughly 4,400 lbs (2,000 kg).

A Challenger Hellcat with Demon features, the Hellcat Redeye is the second-fastest Dodge you can buy today. It s obviously quicker than factory supercharged offerings from Ford and Chevrolet, but is it fast enough for a Roush-prepped Stang? This four-round drag race provides the answer. 1 photo
Let s look at the numbers first. Powered by a supercharged, 6.2-liter V8, the Hellcat Redeye hits the drag strip with 797 horsepower and 707 pound-feet (959 Nm) of torque at its disposal.
Given the lack of Roush badging, this Mustang is not a Jack Roush Edition or a Stage 3 model, so it s unclear how powerful it really is. But we do know that a Roush supercharger can pump up to 775 horsepower and 670 pound-feet (908 Nm) of twist into the Mustang s V8.

Who knew sticking a supercharged V8 engine under the hood of a truck would get everyone talking about it for months? Well, probably everyone, so the real question is what took Ram so long and why hasn t Ford done it already? 8 photos
No point in dwelling on that now that we have the wonderful Ram 1500 TRX among us, the Hellcat-powered truck nobody really needs but everyone is happy it exists. Apparently, it s one of the easiest recipes: take the 6.2-liter V8 out of a Dodge Charger or Challenger Hellcat and paste it into the engine bay of a Ram 1500. Non-existent problem solved.

Cars and Coffee events have blossomed in the United States in recent years, but the one in Loveland, Colorado can now be scratched off the list following an incident that happened over the weekend. According to one of the show s co-hosts, Loveland Cars & Coffee is officially no more after the driver of a Challenger Hellcat ruined the fun for everyone else.
So, what exactly happened? Footage recorded by attendees shows the muscle car leaving Cars & Coffee, but it doesn t take long until it wreaks havoc. In his attempt to show off and impress the crowds, the driver makes it clear for everyone there his skills behind the wheel are certainly not something to aspire to since 700+ horsepower and cold tires are a bad mix.

Whatever happened to Mustang drivers being the only ones getting in trouble after leaving car meets? As it turns out, all you need is a reasonably powerful engine, rear-wheel drive, and a person who’s not exactly the second coming of Lewis Hamilton behind the wheel. 7 photos
This incident took place recently in Loveland, Colorado, during a Cars & Coffee meet, a gathering which, by the way, is canceled now thanks to one person’s recklessness, as per the event’s official Instagram page.
So then, what exactly went wrong? Just as the Challenger Hellcat is pulling out onto the main street, you can see the white Chevy Silverado drive by, its driver completely unaware that they are now just seconds from disaster this is starting to sound like the beginning of a Mayday episode, the ones where air crash investigators walk us through what happened with various airline incidents.
