Representative image GUWAHATI: Assam has set a target to vaccinate 6,500 health workers on Day 2 of the first phase of the vaccination drive, which will be conducted at all the 65 designated locations same as those on the first day across the state on Monday. Despite a low turnout of 54% 3,528 people on Day 1 of the drive in Assam, the state health department is optimistic that it will be able to vaccinate 100% of the targeted healthcare workers this time. “We have set a target to vaccinate 6,500 frontline healthcare workers on Monday, the same number as Saturday, but it could not be done due to various constraints. This time, we are expecting a bigger turnout, as there were hardly any major health issues encountered those who got vaccinated,” National Health Mission (NHM), Assam, director Lakshmanan S told TOI on Sunday. ....
