His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, congratulated Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, the Mother of the Nation, after UAE secured the Number 1 spot in the Arab World for gender balance survey.
The UAE has been ranked No.1 in the Arab world and 18th on the UNDP Gender Inequality Index.
Sheikh Mohammed also praised UAE Gender Balance Council for their tireless efforts to empower women in the UAE.
“We congratulate HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, the Mother of the Nation, on this accomplishment and thank the UAE Gender Balance Council team, headed by @MMbinRashid, for their tireless efforts to empower women in the UAE,” tweeted Sheikh Mohammed.

UAE s global ranking on United Nations Development Programme s gender index is 18.
The UAE has made landmark achievements in the field of gender balance by achieving its 2021 equality goals ahead of time.
The country has been ranked 18th globally and the first regionally in the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) 2020 Gender Inequality Index (GII). This is a landmark achievement for the UAE as it has risen eight positions from its previously-held ranking of 26th in 2019.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, took to Twitter on Tuesday to announce, “We set a goal for the UAE Gender Balance Council to make the UAE one the world’s top 25 countries in the field of gender balance by 2021.
