TE Fidone out with knee injury, will miss spring game
Nebraska football freshman tight end Thomas Fidone will miss the Huskers spring game on Saturday after suffering a non-contact knee injury.

NU head coach Scott Frost confirmed the news following Wednesday’s practice.
Frost also discussed the possibility of Fidone returning for the 2021 season.
“I think the best chance would be get back toward the middle of the season and play some games down the stretch,” Frost said.
Fidone was a four-star recruit coming out of Council Bluffs Lewis Central & enrolled early this spring.
Even though Thomas Fidone is out with a knee injury, Austin Allen said he s taking every opportunity to learn. Says he would get texts as late as 10:30 PM for two weeks straight asking questions.

The Norwalk basketball teams hosted their penultimate doubleheader of 2020 Tuesday evening as Council Bluffs Lewis Central visited for a non-conference tilt. The Norwalk girls lost another down to the wire finish by a 46-44 final, while the boys rolled past the Titans 61-40, as aired live on 94.3 KNIA.
The Norwalk girls started strong, but allowed Lewis Central to remain within striking distance for much of the first half. A late second quarter run by the Titans tied the game at 18 heading into halftime. Norwalk fell behind in the third quarter, but fought back in the fourth and tied the game in the closing minutes. The Warriors trailed with under 10 seconds to play with a chance to tie with a 2, but a good look missed at the buzzer, and the Warriors lost yet another close game. Head Coach Jill Martin says she and the team need to figure out how to put together a complete, 32-minute game.
Koby Bretzâs mom had an idea. Her son was young, athletic and full of energy.
âReally hyper kid, ADHD, bouncing off the walls,â said Koby, who signs with Nebraska on Wednesday after an athletic career taken on paths less traveled. âMy mom didnât know what to do with me.â
Sheâd figure it out, though, and if you watch the Omaha Westside star on a football field, youâll see the fruits of her solution in Bretzâs quick pursuit at safety and body control as a receiver.
âShe stuck me in gymnastics,â Bretz said. âI started doing that. And then I picked up diving.â
