Motorcyclist without helmet has life-threatening injuries after hitting truck in Glendale Jamie Landers, Arizona Republic © The Republic Motorcycle crash A motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries after he collided with a truck while he was not wearing a helmet in Glendale Tuesday afternoon, police say. Officer Tiffany Ngalula, a spokesperson for the Glendale Police Department, said just before 3:30 p.m., police responded to a traffic collision near 59th and Myrtle avenues. A man on a motorcycle was traveling southbound on 59th Avenue when he was hit by a truck going eastbound on Myrtle Avenue. The motorcyclist was not believed to have been wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, Ngalula said, and he was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
