Rehoboth Art League exhibits to open with reception May 7

May 5, 2021 A series of exciting new exhibitions will debut at the Rehoboth Art League during an opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, May 7. These spring shows, on display through Sunday, June 6, represent recent works from contemporary artists as well as historic pieces from the league’s permanent collection. “We are thrilled to be able to welcome the community back to campus for a safe and socially distanced opening reception to celebrate the artists’ work,” said Sara Ganter, executive director of the Rehoboth Art League. “This series of exhibitions in particular represents a wide range of work, including mediums such as bookmaking, encaustic wax work, wood sculpture, ceramics, and even a greenhouse installation in our gallery.”

March 9, 2021 Rehoboth Art League 2020 Young at Art Best in Show winner by Aidee Landa, 12th grade, Indian River High School. The Rehoboth Art League will host this year’s Young at Art exhibition from Saturday, March 13 to Sunday, March 28, showcasing teacher-selected artwork by Sussex County students in kindergarten through high school. This year, the Rehoboth Art League welcomes 11 public and private schools exhibiting a selection of their students’ artwork in the Corkran Gallery on the historic Henlopen Acres campus. Participating schools include Beacon Middle, Delmarva Christian Schools kindergarten through eight grade, Delmarva Christian High, East Millsboro Elementary, H.O. Brittingham Elementary, Love Creek Elementary, Milford Central Academy, Millsboro Middle, North Georgetown Elementary, Seaford High, and Shields Elementary.
