Part emotional odyssey, part experimental radio play, the SVBKVLT artist holds up a fractured mirror to the absurdity of contemporary times.
Yen Tech guides us through an extraordinary aural retelling of an alternative cultural history of the COVID-19 pandemic in his sprawling Fact mix, which weaves together text-to-script speech, AI language models and a breathtaking suite of experimental music, selected and compiled solely for its emotional heft. Think of it as the antidote to lockdown gloom. With parts of the world still crushed by coronavirus, V&A Dundee’s new exhibition, about the post-war evolution of the modern nightclub, focuses on a different sort of “fever” altogether: the ecstatic delirium of nocturnal revelry and release. There’s even a silent disco – though, with headphones on wires, any impromptu, peacocking dance routines, a la John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever, may prove ambitious.

King Midas Sound s Roger Robinson has released a tape with his new band, The Black Space Quartet.
Seasons marks Robinson s first release with the band, which comprises singer Ruby Jones and two members of Welsh dubstep collective LSN. It forms the latest instalment in Boomkat Editions ongoing
Documenting Sound series, which was launched last year as an outlet for recordings produced during the COVID-19 lockdown.

A contemporary art festival is expanding from London to take place across the country, from the Isle of Skye to Wales this summer.
Art Night 2021 will take place in more than 10 locations around the United Kingdom including Abergavenny train station, Eastbourne, Leeds and Cambridge, while a series of commissions will unfold online.
For the first time the festival, this year titled Nothing Compares 2 U, will take place for a month, running from June 18 to July 18.
It will include a series of billboards across the country by Guerrilla Girls, their biggest UK public commission to date, titled The Male Graze which will explore bad behaviour both historically and in the present day.
