A bodyguard of Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut has been arrested on charges of cheating a woman in Mumbai, Entertainment Times has reported. A police officer said that a team of Mumbai police and arrested Kumar Hegde from Karnataka. BENGALURU: A 33-year-old bodyguard of a Bollywood actor was on Saturday arrested from Heggadahalli village near KR Pet, Mandya district, on charges of raping a Mumbai beautician after promising to marry her.
The suspect is Kumar Hegde, a resident of Heggadahalli near Kikkeri, Mandya. M Ashwini, superintendent of police (Mandya), said Mumbai police arrested the suspect with help from local police.
According to police sources, Hegde had come to his village a month ago, a few days prior to the lockdown. His family members had fixed his marriage with a local girl. The family members were supposed to finalise the wedding date. But before that he was arrested, a police officer from KR Pet circle said.
