The Ravens will have their defensive line at full strength for Sunday s important Week 16 game against the New York Giants.
Six-time Pro Bowler Calais Campbell (calf) is active after missing last weekend s game against his former team, the Jacksonville Jaguars. Campbell had been listed as questionable, but he was a full participant in Friday s practice, which indicated that his health was improving.
Starting cornerback Marcus Peters (calf) is inactive for the second straight game. Peters has not practiced since suffering his injury two weeks ago against the Cleveland Browns. The Ravens will also be without cornerback Jimmy Smith (ribs/shoulder), who was ruled out on Friday. The absence of Peters and Smith leaves the Ravens with just four cornerbacks – Pro Bowler Marlon Humphrey, Anthony Averett, Tramon Williams and Pierre Desir, who has been elevated from the practice squad. Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh and his counterpart with the New York Giants, Joe Judge, don’t know each other well. But they do share common knowledge about kick return formations, the technique a gunner might use on punt coverage and the proper time to pull out a fake field goal.
The two will meet Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium in a rare NFL occurrence: a matchup of head coaches who came to their jobs directly from positions as special teams coordinators.

Former Baltimore Ravens Player Lorenzo Taliaferro Dead at 28
Lorenzo Taliaferro, former fullback for the Baltimore Ravens, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 16 from a heart attack, according to a family member. He was 28 years old.
“We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Lorenzo Taliaferro,” head coach John Harbaugh stated. “Lorenzo was a kind, smart, respectful and determined young man someone always committed to his teammates and well-liked by everyone in our organization. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Lorenzo’s family. May he rest in peace.”

Lorenzo Taliaferro played three seasons for the Baltimore Ravens
Lorenzo Taliaferro has died from a heart attack at the age of 28.
The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office in Williamsburg, Virginia confirmed his passing in a tweet. He died Wednesday night after attempts to offer medical help were unsuccessful.

“Earlier today, December 16, 2020, at approximately 3:07 pm Deputies were dispatched to the 100 Block of Windsor Lane for a call of someone needing medical attention,” the post read. “Medics also arrived and transported the patient to a local hospital where he later passed away.”
