Blumhouse Productions will release eight original horror movies that will air exclusively on EPIX beginning this year.
Blumhouse Productions is continuing to expand its brand of horror on the small screen. The production company has cut a deal with premium network EPIX. Under the newly-announced partnership, Blumhouse will produce eight standalone horror/genre-thriller movies exclusively for the network.
Jason Blum, the head of Blumhouse Productions, is set to serve as executive producer on all of the movies. The first movie is titled

Resident Alien Renewed for Season 2 at Syfy

The pickup for the Alan Tudyk dramedy comes nearly three years after the project was first put in development at the cable network under an executive regime that is no longer there.

Syfy has handed out a second season renewal for the dramedy starring Alan Tudyk. The news comes as the 10-episode series based on the Dark Horse comics of the same name is inching toward its March 31 season finale and three years after the project was first developed by an executive regime that is no longer at the NBCUniversal-owned cable network.
