The latest Mardi Gras cancellation due to COVID-19 is coming out of Carencro.
According to KLFY, The Carencro Mardi Gras Mardi Gras Association is the latest to make the difficult decision to cancel their 2021 Mardi Gras parade. According to David Bernard with the CMGA,
The Carencro Mardi Gras Association has decided to cancel the 2021 Mardi Gras Parade due to circumstances out of its control. A parade of this magnitude is reliant on a large number of volunteers, specialized services and public entities. Our decision to cancel the parade was based on all aspects of not being able to provide a safe environment for all party’s involved.
Jefferson Parish Parades Still On, St Tammany Cancels

News has been rolling in about Mardi Gras parades and balls being canceled for 2021, the latest being the Carencro Mardi Gras Association yesterday.
