RADNORÂ â A day after a student walkout in support of its former nickname and despite getting the most nominations from its rebranding committee, Radnor School District officials Tuesday said they would not reconsider bringing back the school s Raider nickname. Last year, the school board voted to remove both the schoolâs Raider nickname and all Native-American imagery. Over the last several months, supporters of the old nickname have continued to express support for it. Despite support for the Raider name, school officials say they wonât reconsider it. - Advertisement - âWe were unable to move forward with that name because it has been removed. RADNOR â Radnor officials hope a grant will help them develop a plan to compete with other towns and attract new business to the townshipâs commercial districts. At its most recent board meeting, the commissioners approved a motion to apply for a Keystone Communities Program grant designed to bring in a business district planner.
