Central District Health announced Tuesday that it received returned ballots with enough votes to ratify the appointment of former gubernatorial candidate Raúl Labrador to the CDH Board of Health.
Labradorâs seat was previously held by Ada County Commissioner Diana Lachiondo, but Lachiondo, a Democrat, lost her seat in November to Republican Ryan Davidson.
Because Labrador, a former Idaho congressman, does not currently hold elected office, the commissioners from CDHâs four counties â Ada, Boise, Valley and Elmore â had to ratify the appointment.
CDH board member Lachiondo responds to protests outside her home I am sad. I am tired. I fear that, in my choosing to hold public office, my family has too-often paid the price, Diana Lachiondo told KTVB on Wednesday. Author: Brian Holmes Updated: 5:27 PM MST December 9, 2020
