Share Updated: Jul 27, 2021, 07:36 AM IST Just hours before resigning from the Chief Minister s post, outgoing Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa on Monday ordered a hike in dearness allowance (DA) for state government employees by 10.25 per cent for the period January 2020 to June 2021. With this, the DA of employees will be 21.50 per cent of their basic pay, according to an order issued by the Finance Department which was under Yediyurappa. The existing DA is 11.25 per cent of basic pay.

The programme was organised by the Department of Public Instruction in association with other government employees’ association at Kalamandira. With the government planning to turn all its offices paperless, adopting the e-initiative, it has become important to train the non-teaching staff, including the clerks, vehicle drivers, and Group ‘D’ employees, on the concept and how to respond positively to the new initiative.
