Victorville Daily Press A 2019 Silverado High School graduate and former member of the Hawks baseball team has been identified as the person killed in a Sunday morning car crash on a remote stretch of Interstate 15 north of Barstow. Troy Matthew Yoda, 19, of Victorville, died at the scene north of Alvord Mountain Road following the single-vehicle crash, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Coroner’s Division said in a statement. The California Highway Patrol Barstow Area Office said Yoda had been driving south on I-15 just after 7 a.m. Sunday when his vehicle, a 2001 Honda, veered into the center median and later went airborne when it entered Manix Wash. The front of the car then hit the wash’s concrete wall.
