Joe Budden issues an apology following sexual harassment allegations from podcast host Olivia Dope

May 25th, 2021 by KRNB Paras Griffin/Getty Images for Revolt Joe Budden has issued an apology after host Olivia Dope accused the media personality of sexual harassment during an episode of the  See the Thing Is… podcast.  In a 26-minute Instagram video Monday, Pope explained why she left the podcast she hosted with Mandii B and former Bridget Kelly, under the Joe Budden Network, which launched last October.  “On January 18, 2021, Joe Budden sat in on a recording of the female-led podcast I was a part of and continuously made sexual, suggestive remarks to me that made me extremely uncomfortable as well as fearful of dampening the mood if I didn’t laugh along while he made those sexual remarks to me,” Dope explained. “Those moments not only live on the internet forever, but it also forced me into the decision of quitting the podcast.”

‘My Words and Power in That Situation Created an Upsetting Environment’: Joe Budden Apologizes After Being Accused of Sexual Harassment By Former Employee DJ Olivia Dope Retired rapper Joe Budden has issued an apology to former employee DJ Olivia Dope. Earlier this week, DJ Dope, whose real name is Tamika Haywood, accused Budden’s podcast boss of sexual harassment.  In a post uploaded to her Instagram account on Monday, May 17, Haywood alleged that Budden was in attendance during episode 16 of the “See, the Things Is” podcast. The audio series has an all-female panel, including singer Bridget Kelly and podcaster Mandi B. The show is also featured on the Joe Budden Network.

Joe Budden is taking accountability for his unwanted behavior. Joe’s former employee/ co-host on See, The Thing Is, Olivia Dope, called him out for sexually harassing her on multiple occasions. In a video, Olivia said Joe made inappropriate comments about wanting to have sex with her and remarks about her clothes. Olivia was also upset after Joe gave her a  “touchy” hug.  When Olivia Dope said during the hug Joe Budden asked for, he was moving his hips I had to go see for myself.. and what the fuck. By Cappuchino May 19, 2021 Joe Budden recently fired his friends from his podcast and now he s being hit with some claims. DJ Olivia Dope claims Joe sexually harassed her when she was on the show. Joe sexually harassed her when she was a guest on an episode that was a female-led podcast that she was a part of the time. She posted the account on Instagram. She said he spoke to her inappropriately, making sexually suggestive remarks during a podcast. She said he laughed it off and she was very uncomfortable with that. She did a post explaining why she left the show, saying she sat with this for about 3 months. Oh and sis has receipts/timelines of when she was uncomfortable. Well. Joe responded to the claims. He issued a statement to Rolling Stone, saying, As a podcaster, it is my job to address topics and create dialogue around them.
