Another round of labor negotiations kicked off again Friday between St. Joseph Regional Medical Center and its nursing staff. Joe Thon, who’s worked as a nurse at St. Joe’s for 16 years and is a member of the bargaining committee, says the issues started when the hospital switched to a for-profit model in 2017. At this point the labor negotiations have been going on for two years, and Thon’s outlook is less than optimistic.
