County offers a non-structural bridge to South Hutchinson The South Hutchinson City Council was expected to continue discussion during an executive session Monday night over the Scott Avenue bridge and the potential closure of Avenue F for an upcoming waterline replacement project. City Administrator Jeffrey Foster confirmed Monday morning, however, that after discussions with county officials last week, it is now unlikely the city will close Avenue F to county Public Works vehicles after all. If it does, it will be only for short periods. Foster had previously warned in a letter issued to the county two weeks ago that Avenue F would be barricaded 100 yards east of the county yard for up to 90 days for the waterline project.
