The Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday announced plans for Thursday s home opener and gave a preview of what s new at Camden Yards.
Thursday s festivities begin at 2:30 p.m. with a video tribute featuring an original poem by Baltimore poet and author Kondwani Fidel.
Mayor Brandon Scott and U.S. Labor Secretary Marty Walsh will throw ceremonial first pitches.
Zadia, an artist and musician born and raised in West Baltimore, will sing The Star-Spangled Banner from the centerfield roof deck.
The Continental Color Guard from the Military District of Washington will present the colors and the anthem performance will conclude with a flyover by the 104th Fighter Squadron of the Maryland Air National Guard 175th Wing.
