Copied!
Last week I drafted a team with Jim Brown, Reggie White, Lawrence Taylor and Deion Sanders on it.
This week, I added Ray Lewis, Walter Payton and Mean Joe Greene to the mix.
Yes, it s weird, but weird is what happens when John Harris and I huddle each week for our In the Lab podcast. We re smack dab in the middle of drafting an All-Time NFL squad, where you get to choose just one player from each of the 32 franchises. Because I took Payton, I can t add Dick Butkus at linebacker. Also, there s no double-dipping on a player. Since I drafted Sanders the Falcon, Harris can t draft Sanders the 49er, or Sanders the Cowboys, etc.
Lorraine Grillo, already the head of two agencies focused on construction, will be charged with implementing goals de Blasio outlined in his recent “State of the City” speech.
QUARTERBACKS
What else is there really to say? Tom Brady came to Tampa Bay and exceeded even the most optimistic expectations with 4,633 passing yards in the regular season to go along with 40 touchdown passes and just 12 interceptions. He capped off his first year with the Bucs with a Lombardi Trophy and Super Bowl MVP honors. We knew the Bucs would be better with Brady under center, but not many people can say they predicate this is just his first season in Tampa Bay.

RUNNING BACKS
The two-headed monster approach used by the Buccaneers in 2020 worked perfectly. While Tampa Bay didn’t wow anyone with an explosive running game, it was efficient, and that efficiency and balance was key to much of Brady’s success as opposing defenses had to respect the run game even if they might not have feared it.

The Pittsburgh Steelers will be making a first round draft pick for the first time since 2019., and for the fifth time in team history that selection will be the 24th overall pick. The last time the Steelers drafted in this slot was back in 2012 when they took All-Pro guard, David DeCastro. While DeCastro was clearly a home run choice for the Steelers, the selection has quite a bumpy history with the club.
The Steelers drafted cornerback, Chad Scott 24th in 1997. While Scott was a fine player, the team passed on others that would have far more illustrious careers. Players like Tiki and Ronde Barber, Darren Sharper, or even just two cornerback selections later, All-Pro Sam Madison.
