LE ROY - A terrifying scene unfolded during the early-morning hours of Dec. 17 when a man entered a house in the village while two residents were sleeping.
Village police said Tyler B. Williams, 19, of Summit Street crept into the house about 3 a.m. and was in an upstairs hallway when the residents awoke. Williams used his cell phone light to make his way around the house, police said.
The homeowner confronted Williams and held him at gunpoint until police arrived, Detective John Condidorio said. The homeowner legally possessed the handgun.
Williams was charged with second-degree burglary, possession of burglar tools and criminal trespassing.
